Staff reporter, Daily Dawn, Dawn TV report
London: British TV channel Dawn TV and American broadcaster CNN have claimed, citing Iranian sources, that the second round of talks between the US and Iran is expected in Pakistan on Monday; however, this schedule has not been officially confirmed by Washington.
It should be remembered that the first round of talks between the two countries was held in Islamabad, in which progress was made on important issues.
The US delegation was led by Vice President JD Vance, while he was accompanied by Jared Kushner and special envoy Steve Witkoff.
On the other hand, the Iranian delegation was led by Parliament Speaker Baqir Qalibaf, while Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi was also part of the delegation.
At the end of the first round in Islamabad, both sides agreed on certain issues and agreed to another meeting to take the talks forward.
