London: Despite reservations over US President Donald Trump’s Gaza peace plan, several key Muslim countries, including Pakistan, are leaning towards supporting it, raising the prospect of new diplomatic developments in the region.

Despite reservations over US President Donald Trump’s ‘pro-Israel’ plan for peace in Gaza, a group of eight Muslim countries is considering accepting the plan.

Qatari and Pakistani officials have indicated that the plan announced by the White House is significantly different from the points agreed upon in New York, although they diplomatically said this.

According to the London Eye and Middle East Eye, Donald Trump asked Pakistan, Jordan, the United Arab Emirates, Indonesia, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Egypt to provide their troops for the force.

Following the announcement, all eight countries issued a joint statement welcoming the plan and pledging their cooperation in finalizing it.

However, despite these positive statements, there are serious reservations at home about these countries deploying their forces in Gaza.
