New Delhi: After Pakistan closed its airspace to Indian airlines, Indian airlines will face an additional cost of Rs 2.54 billion per week to operate international flights from cities in northern India.
According to Indian news agency PTI, Pakistan’s ban on using its airspace is causing high fuel consumption and longer flights.
The PTI report said that based on its analysis, the monthly estimate of these additional operational costs for Indian airlines is more than Rs 10.13 billion.
