Lahore: The privatization of national airline PIA has also been challenged in Lahore High Court; the petitioner has requested to immediately stop the privatization of the airline.
Advocate Nabil Javed Kahlon has filed a petition in the Lahore High Court and has taken the position that the national airline PIA is now profitable, so why is it being privatized? Lahore High Court should immediately stop the government from privatizing PIA.
The petitioner has taken the position that the privatization of PIA has already been challenged by PIA unions in the Islamabad High Court. Four consortiums had qualified for the next stage of PIA privatization. Officials of all four consortiums have completed their visits to key facilities, including the PIA head office.
