Islamabad: It has been revealed in the Public Accounts Committee that the Cabinet Division illegally auctioned Tosha Khana gifts from 1973 to 2022.
In the meeting of the Public Accounts Committee chaired by Naveed Qamar, audit officials said that the Cabinet Division illegally auctioned Tosha Khana gifts from 1973 to 2022.
Naveed Qamar inquired whether there was any procedure for auctioning Tosha Khana gifts? The Cabinet Division said that there were no rules for Toshakhana at that time. Naveed Qamar inquired about how the violation occurred when there were no rules.
The Cabinet Division said that, due to diplomatic sensitivity, Toshakhana gifts are not auctioned in this way, Naveed Qamar said that, but the question is why there were no rules for Toshakhana gifts.
The Cabinet Division said that Toshakhana cannot be auctioned in public, and diplomatic etiquette should be kept in mind. Naveed Qamar said that if the gift was given to a member, where did diplomatic etiquette come from?

Naveed Qamar asked whether the auction of Tosha Khana gifts could be given to a private party. Audit officials said that private parties do not come because they have many fears.
