Islamabad: After operating planes with fewer passengers, Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has now revealed that millions of free tickets have been given away.
The report issued by the Auditor General has stated that during the audit of PIA from 2011 to 2016, 258,000 tickets were distributed completely free of charge.
During the same period, 116,000 tickets were sold at a discount of up to 95%, due to which the national airline had to bear a loss of up to Rs 9.5 billion.
