Textile exporters face difficulties due to rising costs and tariffs
Staff reporter, Daily Dawn, Dawn TV report
Islamabad: Pakistan’s textile sector is facing difficulties in taking significant advantage of India’s weak presence in the US market.
Rising production costs, declining cotton quality and unfriendly government policies have created difficulties for exporters.
Although there were expectations for Pakistan to gain more market share due to the tariffs imposed on India, the local industry is facing major challenges. This week, growing concerns about the impact of tariffs, inflation and natural disasters have further highlighted these difficulties. Industry leaders are warning that if urgent reforms are not made, Pakistan will lose valuable export opportunities.
