Sahiwal: Commissioner Sahiwal Division Dr. Asif Tufail visited the Semen Production Unit Qadirabad in detail. On this occasion, a performance review meeting of the institution was held. In which Director Livestock Dr. Abdul Rauf, Deputy Director and concerned officers and staff participated. During the meeting, a detailed review of the performance of the semen production unit, laboratory and storage facilities, as well as automatic and manual systems for semen preparation, was taken. Commissioner Dr. Asif Tufail was briefed about the breeds of Nili Ravi, Sahiwal Kettle Bull and Dahani Bull. He expressed satisfaction with the performance of the institution and also gave necessary instructions for further improvement. Later, Commissioner Dr. Asif Tufail visited the Livestock Experiment Station Qadirabad, where he inspected various sections of breeding, fodder, housing and care of high-breed animals. He appreciated the new generation of animal breeding systems and facilities and stressed improving the performance of the staff. During the visit, as part of the plantation campaign, Commissioner Dr. Asif Tufail also planted a sapling in the lawn of the semen production unit and stressed the importance of plantation for environmental protection. Commissioner Dr. Asif Tufail said that with the development of livestock on modern scientific grounds, it is possible to significantly increase milk and meat production, which will not only increase the income of farmers but also stabilize the country’s economy.
