Sahiwal: Under the vision of the Beautiful Punjab of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, a comprehensive plan is being implemented rapidly to beautify all the major cities and towns of Sahiwal Division, which will be completed by March 2026. Under this plan, 25 development schemes are in various stages of completion across the division, including 11 in Okara district, 9 in Sahiwal district, and 4 in Pakpattan district. A special meeting was held at the Commissioner’s Office to review the ongoing construction work on these projects, which was chaired by Commissioner Sahiwal Division Dr. Asif Tufail. The meeting was attended by Deputy Commissioners of the three districts Shahid Mahmood, Ahmed Usman Javed, Asif Raza and Director Development Shafiq Ahmed Dogar along with concerned officers. Commissioner Sahiwal Dr. Asif Tufail, directed that a timeline be set for all projects and strict implementation should be ensured. He said that the early completion of these important projects will significantly improve the outlook of the cities. Therefore, the Deputy Commissioners should ensure continuous monitoring of the work on them. On this occasion, Commissioner Dr. Asif Tufail, while reviewing the ongoing work of the people-friendly project Oval Sports Complex, directed the concerned departments to further accelerate the pace of development activities so that the project can be completed as soon as possible. He said that the completion of the upgrade of the Oval Sports Complex will provide more opportunities for entertainment, sports, and healthy activities for the citizens.
