Fentanyl smuggling: US visas of Indian businessmen involved in it revoked

Washington/New Delhi: The US has revoked the visas of some Indian businessmen involved in the smuggling of fentanyl. According to a statement issued by the US embassy, ​​the US embassy in New Delhi not only revoked the existing visas of these individuals but also rejected new visa applications .

This action has been taken on the charge of illegal smuggling of chemicals used in the manufacture of fentanyl. According to US officials, the aim of this move is to take effective action against elements involved in the illegal production and distribution of drugs.

It should be noted that earlier in the statement given in Congress, President Trump had included India among the 23 major countries that are involved in the distribution or illegal production of drugs.
