European reporter Daily Dawn , Dawn TV

Paris: French military and intelligence officials say that China deployed its defense attaches to various embassies to spread suspicion about the French-made Rafale fighter jets after the four-day clashes between India and Pakistan in May.
According to the American news agency Associated Press (AP), French officials said that China aimed to affect the reputation and sales of Rafale and especially to prevent countries like Indonesia from buying more of it.
The French intelligence report also said that China’s defense attaches convinced countries that had already bought or were planning to buy Rafale not to buy more and to prefer Chinese-made aircraft instead.
