President Zardari approves no-confidence motion in Azad Kashmir, announces formation of his own government

Islamabad: The People’s Party has decided to form its own government in Azad Kashmir, and President Asif Ali Zardari has approved the no-confidence motion in this regard.

A meeting of the parliamentary party of the People’s Party of Azad Kashmir was held at the Aiwan-e-Sadr, Islamabad, under the chairmanship of President Zardari, in which all members of the party participated. The first session of the meeting was chaired by Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, while the second session was held under the chairmanship of President Asif Ali Zardari.

The meeting discussed the strategy of removing the Prime Minister of Azad Kashmir, Anwarul Haq, from office and forming a new government. The PPP maintained its decision of in-house change in Azad Kashmir.

Talking to the media after the meeting, Chaudhry Yasin said that the party has taken the final decision to form the government, and the party leadership will announce the name of the new Prime Minister in Azad Kashmir. He added that Bilawal Bhutto Zardari will announce the name of the new Prime Minister of Azad Kashmir.

According to Dawn sources, Chaudhry Yasin, Latif Akbar and Sardar Yaqoob are being considered as candidates for the Prime Ministership. The party’s position is that if the current Prime Minister does not resign, there are enough numbers for a no-confidence motion.

According to sources, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari will formally announce the formation of the government on Monday.
