Milan/Naples/Genoa: Workers and trade unions in Italy staged large-scale protests and strikes against the Israeli attacks on Gaza.
During this time, the entrances to several ports were closed, clashes broke out between protesters and police at railway stations, while public transport and school activities were also affected.
Italian workers say they do not want Italy to be made a center for the delivery of weapons and goods to Israel.
Thousands of people took to the streets in various cities, including Milan, Naples, Genoa and Trieste, and the police also used tear gas in some places.
It should be remembered that the right-wing government of Italian Prime Minister Giorgi Meloni is considered a major supporter of Israel in Europe and has rejected the possibility of recognizing a Palestinian state.
