Some passengers allege that the crew said Israel was a “terrorist state”

Spain: A video from Valencia airport is going viral on social media, according to which more than 50 Jewish passengers were removed from the plane.
According to initial reports, the incident of the Jewish passengers being removed from the plane occurred when they started singing in Hebrew, violating the instructions of the crew. The students were returning from a Jewish summer camp.
The group was a French resident, aged between 10 and 15, and was accompanied by a 21-year-old camp director. They were on a Vueling flight from Valencia to Paris.
Before the start of the flight or a few moments before departure, the students began singing hymns in Hebrew. The crew tried to stop them twice, but when they did not stop, the police were called, and everyone was ordered to disembark.
The video shows the camp director being tackled to the ground, handcuffed and arrested, although he was later reportedly released on an incomplete document.
Some passengers have alleged that the crew said Israel was a “terrorist state”, and other Indian media and Jewish organisations have called it an attempt at religious discrimination.
However, Vueling has claimed that the move was not aimed at discrimination but at the noise on the plane, the use of emergency equipment and the violation of the crew’s instructions during boarding, i.e., “highly disruptive behaviour”. They were taking into account the safety of the other passengers.
Spain’s Civil Guard has said that the crew made this decision because they were unable to stop the disobedience of orders, and were unaware of the religious background.
The Federation of Jewish Communities of Spain (FCJE) has demanded a transparent explanation and documentary evidence from the airline to determine whether religious discrimination was intended.
The French government has strongly condemned the incident, with French ministers saying the use of force by police was “unnecessary and excessive.”
Most of the students reportedly left for their destinations later, with some members of the group returning on separate flights.
The incident has escalated diplomatic tensions between Spain and France, with the French government demanding that the airline explain the incident and investigate possible religious discrimination.
